New York City launches world's first condom app for iPhone & Android

When is someone making one for India? No seriously, when?

The New York City Department of Health did a first of its kind in the world! They launched an iPhone and Android app to assist people in finding free condoms in their area.

Launched as a part of what they call ‘National Condom Awareness Day’, NYC Condom Finder is another simple yet brilliant example of GPS technology being put to social usage. The other GPS based social gadget we came across this year is Le Chal.

Backed with an official facebook page, NYC condom is probably the most ‘Social Media’ advanced initiative around.

With a wish to make New York the safest city for sex in the world, tips for using and storing condoms are also included in the App. May be our readers from NYC can give us some first person reviews of the App? Nevertheless, the initiative shows a great intention.

Again, when is someone making something similar for India?
