Turn that Rug into a Yoy Chair

Turn that Rug into a Yoy Chair

I asked my mom the other day, does that rug double into a chair? And that confused look on her face said it all to me. Considering me going a little off beat, she replied “Are you fine?”

Well, yes, I am totally fine and in my senses. In this technologically advance world, there are probably 99% things that can be doubled into a something but turning a rug into a chair is new to me. And not to forget, to my mother too!

What I am talking?

Japanese design unit YOY (pronounced yo-ee) have developed a rug with an aluminum center. When this rug is folded, it holds its shape and turns itself into a chair. Though this design sounds a little weird and kind of WTF, but coming from the duo who have already given the world some playful illusions through their work it is justified.

What they have done previously?

Previously they have given some really cool designs like Canvas that turns into a chair. Quite amusing in their work, they have showcased this new design at Milano Salone that grab attention of many.

How is this rug helpful?

Well, now having a party at your place becomes even more fun. You can turn your one day rug to one day chair and let your friends and family enjoy the magic. Best for small places to party, this rug is a hit for it.

So, now it’s like I want this rug! Or the Yoy chair! It’s soo cool. Even Uday Chopra should buy it. Why? Because his movies aren’t coming anymore so he can sit and feel good about being jobless, maybe!
