To promote the Winter Olympics that was held at Sochi late last year (2013) and to urge people to lead a healthier lifestyle, Moscow Metro had set up a ticket vending machine (operational till Dec 03, 2013) that takes 30 squats as payment – for one free metro ticket.

Most of the workers in the UAE are from the Asian Subcontinent. Coca-Cola wanted to spread a little happiness amongst this segment. Calling home is the only way workers keep in touch with their families. Coca-Cola created Open Happiness, a phone booth that accepts bottle caps instead of coins to make a free three-minute international phone call for these workers.
