This beautiful piece of furniture designed by her looks like a frozen ice sculpture and is made out of transparent acrylic material. The piece is an example of Hadid’s exploration of liquid forms and was designed for Sawaya & Moroni, as a part of a formal research to explore the idea of liquid territories.

Italian designer Carlo Contin’s creation, ‘Avvitamenti’, is a collection of furniture sets that use over-sized wooden screw-like dowels to attach various pieces of the furniture together. The whole concept was inspired by his father’s work, who, as a carpenter used self clamping screws for his woodworks. The entire structural system works as a repeatable pattern and can be used to make a variety of household items such as tables, desk lamps and basically, anything that thrives on the action of screwing.
