Brandstack shuts shop

With more than three years in the business, Brandstack has shut shop! And there are zillions of reasons doing the rounds on the internet, responsible for the same. More on that in another post.

What is was Brandstack?

Brandstack, formerly known as IncSpring, was an online open marketplace for company logos (and more). Launched in March 2008, it aimed at helping startups and companies with pre-designed, low-priced logo designs and other graphics. Prices ranged from $150 to $2,500.

Wes Wilson, founder of Brandstack informed: “As many of you know, there is some unfinished business that won’t be taken care of. Many designers put their faith in Brandstack and were left short.”

Is it a sad news for design or a happy one? The debate is on.

Nonetheless, we wish the founder, Wes Wilson, the best for his future ventures. Definitely a not so bright moment for web startups.

Had you ever worked on Brandstack or something similar? What was your experience?
